Questions people ask before booking

Three rates. Studio only is $75 per hour. Studio with cameras, lighting, audio and technical support is $250 per hour. Full turnkey production, including the edit, is $500 per hour. There is a one hour minimum, and bookings of eight hours or more get nine percent off.

One hour. Bear in mind that your booked time covers everything, so a genuinely useful session is usually longer than the recording itself.

A reservation is not confirmed until the required payment or deposit has been received, and any remaining balance is due before the session begins.

Yes, free parking on site. No meters, no garage, no hunting for a spot before your session. Street level access from the car park to the studio, so loading gear in is straightforward.

Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm, by appointment only. Evenings are normal booking times here rather than exceptions, so a 7pm start is genuinely fine. Sundays can usually be arranged on request. We are not open for walk-ins, so please book or call ahead.

On a studio-only booking you get the space and the amenities expressly included in that booking, and you supply your own cameras, lighting, audio and crew. On the $250 and $500 tiers the room is rigged, lit and miked before you arrive, and someone is operating it with you.

The $250 tier includes the raw footage, with editing quoted separately. The $500 tier includes the edit, colour, audio post and vertical clips for social, delivered ready to publish.

Podcast Starter Kit $40, Lighting Kit $60, Presentation Kit $50, the Creator Bundle combining all three at $125, and a green or blue collapsible screen at $20. A teleprompter, extra tripods and additional audio gear are available on request.

Yes, and this is the part most people do not plan for. One hour long recording, shot properly on more than one camera, usually holds eight to ten short vertical clips alongside the full episode. It only works if the session is framed for it from the start, so mention it when you book.

Yes. There is a separate treated room with guitars, keys, studio monitors and a condenser microphone with a pop filter, set up for vocal takes, writing sessions and voice-over work.

Yes. A collapsible green or blue chroma key backdrop is available as a $20 add-on.

Yes, and this catches people out. Setup, equipment prep, recording, breaks, guest arrival, packing up and breakdown all have to happen inside the reserved time unless we confirm otherwise in writing. Book accordingly.

Late arrival does not extend the reservation. The session still ends at the scheduled time unless overtime is available and approved.

Overtime is billed in fifteen minute increments at twenty five percent of the applicable hourly rate for each additional fifteen minutes or part of it. It depends on studio and staff availability, so it is not guaranteed.

The room is built for conversation rather than crowds, so it is set up for up to six people. Attendance is limited to the number of guests stated in your booking, and additional guests, crew or observers need approval in advance.

Around 500 square feet, with street level access, wheelchair access, restrooms on site and natural light.

For bookings made directly with us, cancellations and reschedule requests need to reach us at least 48 hours before the start time to be eligible for a credit or a reschedule, subject to availability. Anything inside 48 hours, including same day cancellations and no-shows, is non-refundable. Bookings made through Peerspace follow Peerspace’s own policy instead.

The professional cameras, lighting and audio are operated by Spark Studio personnel or an authorised technician. It keeps the gear working and the session on schedule. Your own equipment is your own to run.

No smoking, vaping, illegal drugs, open flame, hazardous materials, glitter, confetti, smoke effects or weapons without prior written approval. Food and drink need to stay away from the production equipment. Furniture, instruments and gear should not be moved or reconfigured without asking.

You do. Providing the studio or production services does not give us any ownership of your content. We may use short excerpts, stills or behind the scenes material for our own website and social media, and if you would rather we did not, tell us in writing before the session and we will honour it.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we do not guarantee storage beyond 30 days from delivery. Download, check and back up your files promptly. We are not an archival service.

That is a normal starting point. Tell us what you want to end up with rather than what to book, and we will work backwards to the session that gets you there.
